The public presentation of the results of the Archaeological Expedition to Motya can not happen without a proper thanks to the institutions, colleagues and friends who have made possible the resumption of research activities: in addition to the academic authorities of Sapienza University, the Rector Prof. Luigi Frati, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Marta Fattori, the Director of the Department of Classical Studies, Prof. Gian Luca Gregori, and those of the Regional Department for Cultural Heritage and Environment, in particular Dr. Giuseppe Grado and Dr. Marco Salerno, the Archaeological Office of Trapani, represented by Superintendent Prof. Sebastiano Tusa and the person in charge, Dr. Rossella Giglio. Of course we can not forget Vincenzo Tusa and Antonia Ciasca, authors of the first season of outstanding research in Motya. A warm thanks to the ever manifested towards the Expedition is the President of the "Joseph Whitaker" Foundation, Dr. Enza Maria Carollo, and all the staff of the same Foundation that operates on the island of San Pantaleo, ancient Motya. Among his colleagues, in addition to the first members of the Expedition to Motya as Maria Giulia Amadasi, Serena Maria Cecchini, Isabella Brancoli and Giovanni Garbini, we would like to thank in particular Paolo Matthiae, Andrea Carandini, Andrea Giardina, Mario Liverani, for the support always provided to the Expedition.

Text, images and published data, except where otherwise noted, are owned by the Archaeological Expedition to Motya (Missione Archeologica a Mozia), and it is forbidden to copy or reproduce, even in part, without the consent of their respective owners.

The website was developed by Simone Massi and Dr. Adriano Orsingher for the Archaeological Expedition to Motya, and in 2004 by Dr. Salvatore Tricoli with the collaboration of Dr. Patrizio Di Felice in its original version. Although this is an original and personal work, the website has been created via the content management open source Joomla!: it is optimized for a normal use with the main browsers available, but in any case you should upgrade the software with the latest version available for your browser use.

For malfunctions or clarification you may contact the Expedition. The user traffic and other statistics are monitored by the Google Analytics and the ShinyStat™ systems, the latter credited as platform provider Audiweb for census and thus it is recognized for the certification of Internet traffic. In accordance with requirements specified by Stanca Law (Law 9 January 2004, n. 4) this site is designed for a full access by persons with disabilities: for improving this type of service any suggestions is always appreciated.
